Basic information about wool

Wool certainly belongs to the oldest textile fibres, especially in colder areas.
Woollen felts were used long before mankind began to spin and weave.
Just like silk or hair wool is a so-called protein fibre, the inner stem mainly consisting of fibrils that are surrounded by a layer of bark covered with scales.
