Thanks to one of the most fascinating metamorphoses in nature we have the queen of fabrics. In a cocoon made of silk fibre, an earthbound caterpillar transforms into an almost weightless butterfly. It is said that humans also benefit from this valuable fibre during changes and transformations. Skin-friendly and comfortable to wear, real silk fabric climatises, cools and warms at the same time, balances moisture and gently envelops us like a tender caress. Silk jerseys adapt to every movement of the body and are therefore particularly recommended for underwear and nightwear. This jersey also flows elegantly around you as a T-shirt, bodysuit, summer dress, skirt and loose trousers.

You have the choice between natural and environmentally friendly dyed fabrics, all our silk jerseys are supplied as a tube, the width specification designates the tube circumference, please always process this material with a jersey needle.

The impressive feat of a single silkworm spinning itself into a gossamer thread makes for different silk finishes, the smooth, shimmering one from the inner cocoon layers and the inconspicuous, no less valuable bourette silk from the outer, more irregularly spun layers. The natural glue it contains is said to have skin-caring properties.
