Isolated darker thread inclusions are characteristic of natural bourette jersey. The resulting dots and fine lines are barely noticeable in the finished garment. If you want to be on the safe side, you can order a little more. The fabric can also be dyed wonderfully.

Description

Bourette silk consists of the short fibres in the outermost and innermost areas of the silk cocoon and has a matt surface. Its typical grainy structure gives it a rustic and natural appearance, yet it is soft and flowing. It has a moisture- and heat-regulating effect on the body, which gives it excellent wearing properties. The silk glue contained in bourette silk is also considered to have a soothing effect on the skin.

For technical reasons, single jerseys can have a bias. This is not a defect. Please process the fabrics as follows: Place the pattern pieces so that the grainline marked on the pattern runs parallel to the grainline.
