One of the last traditional companies in the historic Swabian Alb textile region produces these sustainable cotton jerseys as soft interlock, fluffy roughened sweatshirt fabric or rib-knit cuffs by the metre. The fabrics are produced in accordance with the Ökotex standard, are of good quality and are still reasonably priced. Short delivery routes between the knitting mill and dye works and the durability of these fabrics ensure a good eco-balance. For comfortable knitwear made from pure cotton in beautiful plain colours.

Always process jerseys with elasticated seams, either with an overlock machine or with a light zigzag stitch, neaten the edges to prevent running stitches. A jersey needle with a rounded point avoids damaging the stitches and thus running stitches.

Historical facts:

In the 19th century, a flourishing textile industry developed at the foot of the Swabian Alb along the fast-flowing rivers and streams, and the proverbial industriousness of the Swabians ensured a meteoric rise in the region. Sheep farming, the only source of income on the karstic Alb, provided local fibre material, and many families supplemented their income by working at home on knitting machines. Since the 1970s, most of the textile factories in and around the Swabian Alb have closed down as they could not keep up with the prices from low-wage countries. With this "Made in Germany" collection, we not only want to support the preservation of a long-established production facility, we also think the quality of these jerseys is great.
