Linen White

White linen is considered the epitome of purity. Its subtle lustre, great durability and the ability to be processed into the finest fabrics have made it highly regarded for thousands of years, from the pharaohs to the present day.

Linen fabrics are cooling and have excellent wearing properties, especially in summer. The fabrics from this collection can be used for all types of outerwear as well as for curtains and drapes, bed canopies, handicrafts, interior decoration, table and bed linen etc.. The linen fibre is smooth, boil-proof and can therefore also be used for medical wraps or as cheesecloth. White linen can easily be dyed, printed, painted or embroidered.

Due to the lack of chemicals, "bleaching" and "fading" was a laborious process that took several months and could take over a year if there was little sunlight. Today, oxygen bleaching is done with hydrogen peroxide, which is neutralised in water.

Care instructions: We recommend boil washing at 90°C before use. Only spin-dry briefly, smooth out and dry on the line or in the tumble dryer. Even relatively stiff linen fabrics become soft and supple after the first boil wash. With a bleaching agent, a white detergent and a boil wash, white linen can be washed perfectly white and clean again and again.
