Wild Silks

Tussah silk (wild silk) is usually obtained from the cocoons of oak silk moths (Antheraea yamamai) after the moths have emerged. As a result, the individual filaments are comparatively short and are first spun together. This gives these silk fabrics their distinctive, lively texture.
