After bleaching the cretonne, selected areas are sealed by hand using wax printing. The indigo dye then penetrates only the unprotected areas. Once the colour is fixed, the wax is removed through repeated washing, and the piece comes to life as a finished batik fabric.
This fabric may release excess dye and should therefore be washed separately. Due to the handmade process, each piece is unique; repeat measurements are therefore not specified.
