Gentle organic fabrics are the best choice for baby and children’s garments. They are kind to the skin, comfortable to wear and free from harmful residues. Choosing the right type of fabric is key: some materials are ideal for everyday wear, while others provide extra warmth on cooler days.

Which types of fabric are suitable for baby & children’s clothing?

Jersey fabrics made from organic cotton are perfect for comfortable tops, bodysuits or leggings, as they are stretchy and gentle on the skin. Cosy nicki velour makes rompers and jumpers particularly snug. For cold days, warm fleece fabrics and merino boiled wool provide natural insulation without itching. Durable yet soft corduroy is ideal for sturdy trousers or dungarees that can withstand the daily adventures of little explorers.

Why organic and natural fabrics?

Children’s skin is especially sensitive, which makes toxin-free materials essential. Organic fabrics are produced sustainably and without the use of harmful chemicals. In addition, natural fabrics can often be washed at higher temperatures – a major advantage when clothing needs frequent cleaning. This not only ensures good hygiene, but also helps the fabrics last longer.
